When Katsura Hashino said he wanted to try something new, I remembered the phrase "One For Me, One For Them". Madalas 'to ginagamit ng mga filmmakers to balance their career. "One For Them" refers to commercial films. "One For Me" refers to more creatively challenging projects. I will always have my bias towards Persona series but Metaphor: ReFantazio offered a wider and heavier themes than Persona 3, Persona 4, & Persona 5 all combined. Themes like anxiety, theocracy, discrimination, inequality, and racism - lahat na-cover sa Metaphor: ReFantazio.

It's highly political too! One can argue that this game is full of DEI but you know what? The game delivered. A well written story is a well written story - kahit ano pang themes 'yung meron sa game.
