Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tennessee) has been one of the loudest voices in Congress demanding full disclosure of Jeffrey Epstein’s network and the identities of those connected to his trafficking operation. In early 2024, she pushed for subpoenas targeting both Epstein’s estate and the FBI, demanding the release of Epstein’s unredacted flight logs, all surveillance footage, and investigative files tied to Ghislaine Maxwell. Blackburn argued that the American public “has a right to know who flew on Epstein’s planes, who visited his island, and who may have aided or witnessed his crimes.” Her proposal gained full support from Senate Judiciary Committee Republicans but was blocked by Chair Dick Durbin, a move she later blasted as obstruction of justice. Blackburn accused the Senate majority of protecting powerful interests and stonewalling transparency in what she described as one of the darkest scandals in modern American history.
