If you have Scrupulosity/Religious Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) there's a big chance you may have had difficulty deciphering whether or not the religious behaviors you participate in are because of your faith, or because your OCD is talking.

For example, you may feel an overwhelming need to repent for a sin you committed, but you are unsure whether that is because you actually made a mistake, or your OCD wants you to find certainty that you are in good standing with God.

Or, you may be excessively concerned about missing a day of prayer or scripture study, but you can't tell if that's because you have so much faith or because you are afraid to do anything wrong.

In this episode, I share what I've learned about how to avoid doing compulsions and develop a healthy relationship with religion in Scrupulosity OCD recovery. In addition, we discuss:

  • The relationship OCD sufferers can have with obedience
  • How fear drives all OCD compulsions
  • The importance of avoiding fear-based obedience in Scrupulosity OCD recovery
