This week on The Emo Hour… we had a full-blown tech meltdown. That’s right—your beloved emo co-hosts Katie and Nani managed to record a whole entire episode… that then vanished into the void, never to be heard again (RIP to the lost ep, we hardly knew ye). But like true emo warriors, we picked ourselves up, dried our eyeliner tears, and hit record again.

In this salvaged, resurrected, and possibly cursed version of the episode, Katie kicks things off by unpacking what’s been making her emo lately—and spoiler: it’s not just corrupted audio files. She reveals that she scored tickets to see Brand New in Salt Lake City (yes, they still exist, and yes, we’re screaming), celebrates the emo fever dream that is a Blink-182 and Alkaline Trio tour, and loses her damn mind over Mark Hoppus’s new book Fahrenheit-182 (no, you’re crying). Oh, and if that’s not enough, Tom DeLonge shows up on Toby Morse’s One Life One Chance podcast, and Katie basically ascends into pop-punk nirvana.

Meanwhile, Nani traded in existential dread for espresso shots and Seattle vibes. She shares tales of a dreamy trip to the Pacific Northwest, where she befriended strangers, floated on a hot tub boat (yes, it’s real), and after three failed attempts, finally got to witness Sam Fender live at the Paramount. It was emotional. It was euphoric. It was very on brand.

So grab your black nail polish, cue up your most dramatic playlist, and join us for an episode full of emotional whiplash, tour announcements, book gushing, and concert confessions. We’re emo, we’re resilient, and this time—we hit save.
