Tristan Wiggins reflects on his journey from a devastating leg injury to becoming a two-sport standout at Sikeston High School. Despite experiencing a dislocated tibia and fractured patella in eighth grade that sidelined him for over a year, Wiggins bounced back to help lead the Bulldogs to memorable seasons in both basketball and soccer.
• Overcoming a serious leg injury that required surgery and extensive rehabilitation
• Spending a year in Texas with professional basketball player cousin Marquez Hayes to recover and develop his game
• Contributing to Sikeston's upset victory over Cape Central during sophomore year basketball season
• Excelling in soccer after returning to the sport, scoring approximately 25 goals in his senior season
• Signing with Missouri Baptist University to play college basketball while pursuing a sports management degree
• Planning to eventually return to the area to develop training facilities for young athletes
• Emphasizing the importance of keeping God first, staying coachable, and valuing family relationships
