This paper provides an overview of the emerging trends in military energy use and management, along with the evolving needs for energy storage, in line with the novel developments of battery energy storage systems. The research considerations focus on a wide range of energy storage applications, ranging from soldier energy solutions to powering military bases or platforms. The study highlights future energy storage innovations, including next-generation batteries, hybrid energy solutions, or other energy storage innovation trends that will enhance the military's abilities to operate in dynamic environments.
