In this episode of The Daryl Perry Podcast, I dig into one of the most important parts of the fitness and life journey, which is learning to love the body you have and the person underneath. I share why so many people go through physical changes like losing weight or building muscle but still feel unfulfilled, and why it’s crucial to focus on appreciation and self-acceptance right now instead of waiting until you hit a goal weight or body composition.

We talk about the difference between changing out of self-loathing versus changing from a place of appreciation, and why being in the driver’s seat of your own change matters so much. Change is a constant in life, but the roots of that change will determine if it leaves you with lasting fulfillment or an empty feeling even after you’ve accomplished what you set out to do.

I also explain why social media often doesn’t show the nuance behind these conversations, and how I use this podcast as a place to expand on those ideas. More than anything, I want you to push forward, pursue the things that matter, and build from a place of loving and appreciating yourself every step of the way.
