Responding to the Gospel
Acts 2:37-38 Peter’s words pierced their hearts, and they said to him and the other apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?” Peter replied, “each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
When the word of God lands in the ears of his chosen children, it stirs up within them a longing to be reconciled with their creator. For some this happens instantly, for others it may be a life-long process. Nevertheless, we are called to share the truth, knowing that God has a plan for each person that welcomes Christ into their hearts.
Dear God, please help us to courageously share the good news of your son Jesus Christ. Knowing that in your infinite wisdom, the act of sharing, not only does it strengthen our own faith, but it also calls your lost children back home.
