In this episode of Coffee with the Superintendent, we begin in The First Pour with a look at 1 Samuel 19:18–24, where David finds refuge with Samuel and the Spirit of God overcomes Saul’s anger. Through this story, we learn that God’s Spirit still rules over human pride and preserves His chosen ones. From the Old Covenant to the New, we see how God’s power, not man’s position, determines the outcome—and how the same Spirit that shielded David now guides us through every challenge in life.
