All citizens shall have the right to freedom of speech and expression - Article 19(1)(a), Part III, The Constitution Of India.
This same right has been violated by the Uttar Pradesh Police, not once, but twice against the same person, Prashant Kanojia.
Jagisha Arora, his partner and journalist says the reason for his arrest, other than being a journalist and a critic of the BJP-Government is that he is a Dalit. She narrates the shocking ordeal of 18 August, 2020 and why being Dalit still matters in modern India.
She also opens up on what Prashant will do once he is released, what she is going through at this tragic time and how she will keep fighting for her husband through whatever it takes.
