History Pop-Up May | Pop-Up with Ron Tester
Manage episode 499537632 series 3682921
Our first History Pop-Up was so fun – and popular! - we’re doing another.
Not least, it gives me a chance to laugh at Ron Tester’s choice of books. Because truly, that man has an unnatural love of super long books about great men of history.
As well as famous dead people, we discuss the world's first seed bank + the heartbreaking choices the botanists had to make during the siege of Leningrad.
We also consider different approaches to history telling – from personalities to social history told through objects. And because we can’t help ourselves we through in some world leaders as was.
Look for more shows in this new History Pop-Up strand.
