Hello everyone, and welcome back to a brand new episode of The Bible You Thought You Knew!

Today, I come back to you with a new Bible tale.

It is the story of Amaziah and Amos, which is based on a text from the Latter Prophets, specifically Amos 7, which is part of the Book of the Twelve.

The tale starts with the prophet, Amos, having a vision. A scary vision. One of God judging Israel, because the people of Israel were not living up to their covenant with God.

Then comes a second vision, then a third.

What did these visions mean? And what's Amaziah's role in all of this?

I answer both these questions in today's episode, so tune in now!

Key points discussed

Prophets and priests (00:54)

The beginning (02:20)

The second vision (07:00)

God will no longer forgive (09:42)

Amaziah speaks against Amos (13:04)

Amos's answer (16:42)
