Auburn Football QB Drama and Hugh Freeze Update | War Rapport Exclusive

The Auburn Tigers finally broke through with a crucial win over Arkansas, snapping a losing streak and breathing new life into Hugh Freeze’s 2025 campaign. But as the team prepares for Kentucky, all eyes are on one burning question: Has Jackson Arnold played his final snap in orange and blue?

After a costly pick-six, Freeze finally pulled the trigger and gave Ashton his shot under center. Despite Freeze’s vague comments in this week’s press conference, it’s hard to imagine Arnold returning as the starter. Auburn’s offense has lagged behind the defense all season, and with the Tigers still aiming for an 8–4 finish, the quarterback decision could define Freeze’s tenure.

The defense has been stellar—holding every opponent under 24 points—but the offense has to start delivering. Meanwhile, kicker Alex McPherson redeemed himself with a perfect 6-for-6 field goal performance after a rough outing against Missouri. Every point matters now, especially with Auburn’s margin for error shrinking by the week.

Can Auburn ride this newfound momentum into Kentucky and Vanderbilt before the Iron Bowl? Or will this weekend’s game mark the beginning of a full reset for Hugh Freeze’s staff and roster?
