Kentucky's capitol building is undergoing a massive renovation that is costing the taxpayer more than 4x what they originally built it for in 1910 AFTER adjusting for inflation.

Some of the expenses include:

$52,000 per window to repair the windows currently on the building.

$18,000,000 on a temporary building to be used 60 days a year to hold the few hundred legislators and staff needed to conduct the legislative sessions.
