On this week's episode Punam Saxena who has been a special education teacher, spent many years as a perennial volunteer in all of her children's schools, has a degree in psychology and over 20 years of advocacy experience, is the host of the podcast EDU ME and most recently has, according to her, “ gone from couch potato to marathon runner"Punam and I discuss how she began as a Special Education teacher and then when her children were born she decided to volunteer in their school systems. She then saw the extreme need for a relationship and communication that needed to be established between the school system and the parents in order to better educate children. Along her journey she began to realize as her children grew older that her health could become a serious issue and literally went from "couch potato" drinking several cokes in one sitting, to a health conscious marathon runner. She shares with me the confidence she found in running and sees how this confidence could also empower other women along their journey as mom, wives, partners and/or parents. The Edu-Me on Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/theedume/ The Edu-Me Website: https://www.edu-me.net/ The Edu-Me Podcast: https://www.edu-me.net/episodes-1 That's Not Proper can be found on all podcast platforms!!
