Toyota has accomplished what many thought was impossible: true production on demand. Their $1.8 billion K-FLEX project at Georgetown's Line 1 facility can now produce various vehicle types—sedans, SUVs, minivans, and even EVs—on the same assembly line. By adopting a revolutionary "bias chassis" approach where vehicles move door-to-door instead of nose-to-tail, Toyota has created arguably the world's most flexible automotive production line.
