Ciscos AsyncOS software, used in products like Secure Email Gateway and Web Manager, is under attack due to a critical vulnerability. Hackers can exploit this issue, especially if the Spam Quarantine feature is enabled and the device is internet-accessible. While not all devices are at risk, as the feature isnt enabled by default and doesnt need to be exposed, many large organizations using Cisco products are still vulnerable. Cisco hasnt released a patch yet, leaving customers with the option to wipe and rebuild affected software to remove hackers persistent access.
