In turbulent times we need audacious artists like Fusilier. His just released EP, Upstream (Brassland), features the title track about isolation plus a sinister take on Martha and the Vandellas’ “Dancing in the Street” that ﬁnds the classic twisted into a protest anthem. The Brooklyn-based vocalist and multi-instrumentalist has also released self-directed videos for both songs. [This episode features the full-version of “Upstream” in its entirety.]
