In this episode, Aysha Gardner speaks about her article published by the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics at Santa Clara University addressing health equity for vulnerable populations, exposing the practice of gynecological surgeries being forced on women in ICE camps in Ocilla, Georgia that was widely reported in the NY Times. Recognizing that this is a much bigger issue in healthcare than just one instance, she shares what healthcare providers and leaders can do from her perspective to help stand up against these and other unethical practices.
