Welcome back to the Texas Halfcourt Trap Podcast. Staff-writer Jonas Clark is your host, ready to dive into the mens' basketball updates around the 210. Aaron Meullion is out on assignment, so joining the show today is Damien Bartonek of the Texas State University Star. We've told you he was coming, and here he is - Stephen Anderson! Stephen makes his debut on the podcast to give us a closer look at what's going on with the UIW Cardinals football program, and then dive into how the basketball team has performed in their last couple of games since returning to the court from quarantine.

This last weekend, the Texas State Bobcats had to postpone their weekend series against Arkansas State due to COVID-19 concerns around the team, but as of this moment, the team looks set to play this coming weekend. Still, it got us thinking about the potential situation where the Bobcats can't make up the games and their record in the Sun Belt Conference doesn't include as many games as the other schools. With UIW and now Texas State having been impacted by COVID-19 already in this early part of the season, we ask them to put on their commissioner hats and address topics like creating a bubble and determining seeding for the tournament.
