This week, we’re pivoting into a word that’s been stirring heavy in my spirit: They plot, but we pray, plan, and execute.

Sometimes, when God calls us to step into something new, distractions, fear, and even haters pop up to try and knock us off course. But the story of Nehemiah reminds us that no matter how loud the opposition gets, prayer is our weapon, and obedience is our strategy.

In this episode, I’m unpacking Nehemiah’s boldness, the ridicule he faced while rebuilding Jerusalem’s wall, and the reminder that when God calls, He also provides. If He gave you the assignment, Fren, He will also resource the vision.

What You’ll Learn in This Episode:

  • How Nehemiah moved from comfort to calling with courage and prayer
  • Why prayer is always the first step before planning and executing
  • The different types of prayers Nehemiah used (confession, supplication, adoration, judgment)
  • How to recognize distractions and opposition as plots—not stop signs
  • Why your identity isn’t in your calling but in Christ

Scriptures to Meditate On:

  • Nehemiah 1–4 (Nehemiah’s call, prayer, and opposition)
  • 1 Thessalonians 5:17 — Pray without ceasing.
  • Matthew 11:28 — Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Reflection Prompts for This Week:

  1. What’s one thing God may be calling you to do that feels uncomfortable right now?
  2. What distractions or “plots” have been keeping you from moving forward?
  3. How can you create a prayer strategy before planning and executing this week?
