Soul Care Notes

Episode 38: A Soul at Rest

Soulful Psalms of Summer Series

This week, we return to one of the most beloved psalms in Scripture—Psalm 23—through the lens of rest, healing, and sacred overflow.

“She makes me lie down… She restores my soul.” — Psalm 23 (Soulful Paraphrase)

A restful life is not passive.

It’s a sacred act of trust.

To lie down is to believe you’re safe in God’s care.

To be restored is to accept that you don’t have to earn being whole.

In this episode, you’ll experience:

  • A soulful paraphrase of Psalm 23, written for Black women who are tired but not forgotten
  • A Lectio Divina–style reflection
  • A sacred Colloquy: a divine conversation with Jesus, Creator, and a Wise Woman of Faith—inviting you to receive rest without guilt or resistance

Soul Care Invitation

  • Where is God leading you to lie down?
  • What would it look like to surrender to sacred rest this week?
  • Where might restoration begin if you let go of what’s not yours to carry?

Tune in.

Journal it.

Rest in it.
