Speak Truthfully and Reconcile Quickly

Scripture: Ephesians 4:25–27

“Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body. ‘In your anger do not sin’: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.”

Explanation:
Being part of one body means our words matter. Paul teaches us to be honest and to handle anger wisely—not letting it linger, which can invite division and spiritual danger. Truth and reconciliation are essential to building strong relationships in Christ.

Application:
Your honesty and your response to conflict shape your relationships. Be truthful with others and quick to deal with anger. Don’t let unresolved issues fester—bring them into the light and seek peace for the sake of unity.

Discussion Questions:

  1. Are you being honest in your relationships within the church?

  2. How do you usually handle anger—do you withdraw, explode, or reconcile?

  3. Is there anyone you need to forgive or talk to this week?
