Isn’t It Nice We Both Hate The Same Things by Jessica Seaborn is out now through Penguin.

🎬 Jessica tells us about whether being a TV PR is as fun as it seems.

✍️ Despite her busy career in TV publicity, Jessica has also found the time to write novels—this is actually her second one. She shares how she manages her time, when she writes, and what her process looks like.

📖 Writing has clearly been an important part of Jessica’s journey, and she reflects on whether it’s something she has always wanted to do.

📚 Jessica’s new novel Isn’t It Nice We Both Hate the Same Things follows Charlie, a 30-something radio producer who, after splitting with her husband, suddenly finds herself without friends. Charlie struggles to rebuild her social circle and find her tribe, and Jessica explains how much of this story reflects her own experiences.

💬 Jessica talks about why she chose to write about the theme of friendship and disconnection.

🌍 With the book tapping into the growing conversation about loneliness, Jessica discusses how advice and stories often focus on finding love, but rarely on finding friends—even though loneliness affects younger people as well as older generations. She explains why navigating friendship in your 30s can be so difficult.

💔 Fleur shares her own painful experience of being “friend-dumped” in her 30s, and Jessica reflects on whether she has faced similar situations.

🌱 Jessica reveals what her character Charlie ultimately learns about friendship as the story unfolds.

📺 Jessica gives us a look at the exciting new shows on Stan.
