Welcome to the Sleepy Scriptures One-Year Bible. Tonight, we continue our journey through the Book of Genesis with chapters 9 through 16, read softly from the King James Bible and accompanied by peaceful music to help you rest, reflect, and draw nearer to God.
In these chapters, we witness the covenant God made with Noah, the scattering of nations at Babel, and the calling of Abram to leave his homeland for God’s promise. We see God’s faithfulness as He leads Abram and Sarai, assuring them of His covenant despite their struggles and doubts. These timeless accounts remind us that God’s promises are sure, and His plans reach beyond what we can see.
Highlighted Verses:

  • Genesis 9:13 — “I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.”
  • Genesis 11:9 — “Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the Lord did there confound the language of all the earth.”
  • Genesis 12:1 — “Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee.”
  • Genesis 15:6 — “And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.”
  • Genesis 16:13 — “And she called the name of the Lord that spake unto her, Thou God seest me.”

As you listen, may these chapters bring you peace at bedtime and deepen your trust in God’s enduring covenant.
God Bless.
