On this week's Sheer Isolation we talk to the Frome DJ Nina Casey (aka Nina LoVe) about her new project to boost interest in learning new music skills.

Purple Noise offers workshops and advice to provide experience working in studios, producing music, and lessons in live DJing.

They have a fully kitted out recording and rehearsal space in Trowbridge Town Hall and opens its doors to everyone. They especially want to help kids with learning difficulties or those who don't have access to music studios through their own schools.

Nina tells us about her path to becoming a DJ, and how the disruption of Covid was a catalyst for forming the Purple Noise project.

Her music choice is an uplifting Beverly Knight track that helped her during the lockdowns, while Kieran picks a post hardcore track from the duo, Frauds, who are coming to Wiltshire for a show in the Spring.

We also give a shout out to some of the week's music and comedy events in the region.
