The story of King Belshazzar in Daniel 5 shows how pride can blind us and lead to rebellion against God. Belshazzar willfully disrespected God by using sacred temple items for a wild party, even though he knew how God had humbled Nebuchadnezzar. God responded by writing a message on the wall, which Daniel interpreted as the end of Belshazzar's reign. This ancient tale reminds us that just having knowledge isn’t enough—it's rebellion if we don’t act on it. Our time is limited, and we all fail in front of God, but through Jesus Christ, we can find forgiveness instead of judgment.
