"First of all, I feel very good...I'm not in pain, I'm eating."

She admits that she was nervous prior to the procedure because not many doctors do it under local (awake) anesthesia, but once she was in the OR it was not scary at all.

"I did not feel scared, I felt supported."

She recommends getting the procedure done under local anesthesia rather than general because the post-op recovery is quicker and there were no negative side effects except feeling sleepy.
