Anchor Points: The Rock I Leaned On Broke—But He Didn’t.
Manage episode 497230315 series 3675827
Who’s the “rock” in your life—the one person who brings comfort, stability, and strength?
We all have, or hope to have, someone who feels like our steady place. For Devin, it was her dad. But when he passed away, she realized the painful truth: even the strongest people in our lives are still human.
That’s when the Rock of Gibraltar came to mind and an even greater Rock took center stage.
In today’s Anchor Point, Devin reflects on:
• The moment her earthly “rock” crumbled and what it revealed
• Why even our most beloved people are just signposts, not saviors
• How Jesus alone offers the kind of unshakeable, lasting strength we need
Scripture Reflection:
Psalm 18:2 – “The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.”
