The Tampa Bay Rays can't complete the sweep, losing to the San Francisco Giants 7-1. This was another pitchers duel for the first 6 and a half innings of this game. The Rays offense could not get anything off the Giants ace Logan Webb. Ryan Pepiot was just as dominant until there was 2 outs in the 5th inning. Everything unraveled for Pepiot after that. He allowed 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th to make the game 4-0. Pepiot was fantastic until that moment. He struck out 8 Giant hitters and only allowed 2 hits until the Giants had 4 straight hits to take the lead. Mason Englert would come in and give up back to back homers in the bottom of the 7th inning to make it 6-0. Yandy Diaz would get the Rays on the board with a RBI single in the top of the 8th to make it 6-1 but thats all the Rays offense would get. The Rays finish the 12 game 14 day road trip 6-6 and will head back home to face the New York Yankees starting Tuesday night.
