The Tampa Bay Rays can't complete the comeback as they fall to the Boston Red Sox 6-3. There was no score for the first 2 innings of the game. The Red Sox would score first in the 3rd inning to make it 1-0. The Rays would respond in the 4th inning on a RBI double by Jake Mangum to make it 1-1. The Red Sox would take a 3-1 lead after scoring in the 5th and 6th innings. But the Rays would start their comeback in the 7th inning. Nick Fortes hit an RBI double to make it 3-2. Then Yandy Diaz would tie the with an RBI single to make it 3-3. The Red Sox would re take the lead with a pair of RBI singles in the 9th to take a 6-3 lead. The Rays could not get it back in the bottom of the inning. Adrian Houser started for the Rays and was solid. He would go 6 innings only allowing 3 runs. The Rays will look to win their last home game of the season tomorrow afternoon.
