Going with Gio: Lucas Giolito made the start in the 1st game out of the All-Star Break Friday afternoon. Giolito, who turned 31 on Monday, walked the 1st 2 batters of the game and then gave up a 3-run Home Run to Seiya Suzuki. Giolito ended up allowing 4 earned runs over 5.1 Innings and took his 1st loss since May 6th at home vs. the Texas Rangers. The Sox are 9-5 in his 14 outings. Giolito went 3 straight starts without allowing a Home Run prior to Friday.

Sox at the Dish: Roman Anthony got the Red Sox on the board and extended his hit streak to 10 in a row with 2-out RBI Double in the 3rd Inning. The Sox did strand 2 in scoring position after Carlos Narvaez struck out to end the inning. Ceddanne Rafaela had a Single to leadoff off in the 7th to extend his hit streak to a career-best 11 straight games.
