Hi folks,

Joel here. I'm the owner of the SciFi Pubcast and I must a share a brief announcement regarding the pubcast.

We're moving to exclusively YouTube and will end the audio only podcast feeds due to costs. My life circumstances are changing, and I need to get my financial house in order. We may go back to the podcast feeds in the future.

The pubcast has been going since 2017 and will continue. We're about to hit the 10,000-download number and that's great for a little comedic hobby podcast. Thank you all but I want to especially thank my co-hosts, Keri Simpson and Derek Beebe, and everyone who has spent time at the pub. You are all brilliant.

The long and short of it is that I am continuing to work on my dissertation, but I am moving to Florida in March 2026, for employment and research reasons (to loosely quote Steve Zissou, "life is an adventure.") I need to reduce my costs.

Our email is also changing. If you want to contact management, you can message us on our social media (our "X" and Instagram accounts are still active) or email me at [email protected]. Furthermore, I am in the process of uploading the audio of our back catalog to YouTube.
