Beating Cancer, Mindset and Riding for the Pan-Mass Challenge | Kevin O'Riordan, Ep. 024
Manage episode 504750240 series 3665270
Today I am very honored to introduce my good friend, Kevin O’Riordan. Kevin is an Acute Myeloid Leukemia survivor and stem cell transplant recipient. He is riding in the Pan-Mass Challenge this weekend, for the second time, to help raise funds and support the Jimmy Fund and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. In August 2024, Kevin rode 186 miles on a two-day route from Sturbridge to Provincetown, MA. This year, he’ll be riding the route again – this time with a team comprised of his brother, Tom (who was his stem cell donor), his dear friend, Nate, his uncles and his sister in law, Alissa. He’s riding primarily to help raise funds that will aid in continuing research and operations at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Funding goes to doctors, nurses, staff and researchers at DFCI so they can continue to help people like Kevin. He’s a proud supporter of the Pan-Mass Challenge because it is leading the charge to beat cancer. In fact, 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber’s tireless commitment to finding a cure. Kevin’s a great friend, amazing person with an amazing story and I’m very grateful for him to be with us today.
