The City of Cape Town is on track with its phased reopening of public swimming pools ahead of the 2025/6 summer season, with many of them already opened and some due to reopen soon. Operations will be over weekends only due to limited demand but will go into full-week mode from the beginning of December. Lester Kiewit finds out why the phased approach has been taken, speaking to Councillor Francine Higham, Mayoral Committee Member for Community Services and Health.
