In Episode 40 of The Speaking Quran, we explore one of the most profound moments in the Qur’an — when Prophet Yusuf (Joseph) forgives his brothers, saying:

“No blame upon you today. May Allah forgive you, for He is the Most Merciful of the merciful.”

(Surah Yusuf, 12:92)

Through these verses (91–92), we uncover the essence of ihsan (excellence) — the spiritual state of controlling one’s anger, forgiving others, and responding with kindness.

This episode highlights how Prophet Yusuf’s mercy mirrors divine compassion, and how the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ embodied the same spirit at the conquest of Makkah.

💠 In this episode you’ll learn:

• The Qur’anic definition of al-muhsineen (the righteous doers of good)

• The three stages of ihsan: controlling anger, forgiving, and showing kindness

• The difference between khaṭiʾ and mukhtiʾ (intentional vs. unintentional mistakes)

• How mercy restores honor and reflects Allah’s Divine Names: Ar-Rahman, Ar-Rahim

• Lessons for our own spiritual growth and moral excellence
