Ep26 - Attending Events as an Introverted ADHD Business Owner
Manage episode 495796162 series 3645223
In this episode, I’m sharing what it’s really like to attend in-person events as an introverted business owner with ADHD. From managing energy levels to dealing with imposter syndrome and RSD, I walk you through my honest experience of showing up - even when it feels hard.
After recently attending (and hosting!) a few live events, I’ve been reflecting on what helps make these experiences feel doable and even enjoyable. I’m talking about the little things that make a big difference - like packing earplugs, being honest about what I need, and reminding myself that I’m safe, welcome, and I belong.
I also share how I prep before an event, how I reset during the day if things feel too much, and why it’s okay to take a breather. This isn’t about doing events perfectly - it’s about doing them in a way that works for our brains.
If showing up at events has ever made you feel overwhelmed or unsure, I hope this episode feels like a warm, encouraging nudge. You’re not alone - and you absolutely belong in the room.
