Strength in Surrender

There’s a quiet paradox in the kingdom of God: strength is often found not in holding on tightly, but in letting go. Surrender is not weakness—it is the recognition that our strength alone cannot carry the weight of life. When we release our grip and place everything into God’s hands, we discover His strength lifting us in ways we could never manage on our own.

Jesus Himself modeled this in Gethsemane when He prayed, “Not my will, but yours be done” (Luke 22:42). His surrender opened the way for salvation. In our own struggles, surrender does the same—it opens the door for God’s power to flow.

Paul reminds us, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9). That means when we feel weakest, God is strongest in us.

Surrender is not about giving up—it’s about giving over. Our fears, our plans, our battles—when we lay them at the feet of Jesus, we gain a strength not our own. True peace and courage rise when we release control and trust Him fully.

Today, find strength in surrender, and watch God’s power carry you where your own cannot.
