My Journey of Being Seen, Heard + Taking up Space
Manage episode 492036846 series 3612443
In today’s episode, I’m sharing a deeply personal part of my journey - navigating the fear of being seen and heard, learning how to take up space, and what it’s looked like to rewire my mind and body to actually feel safe being visible.
This is something so many of us struggle with, often without realising just how much it shapes our choices, our confidence, and the opportunities we allow ourselves to say yes to.
What We’ll Cover:
• How the fear of being judged, criticised or rejected is often at the core of our resistance to being seen & heard
• The impact of childhood experiences, criticism & sensitivity on shrinking ourselves
• The metaphysical meaning behind my thyroid cancer diagnosis at 17 and how it related to not using my voice
• The pivotal moments that helped me heal: from hypnotherapy & RTT to Vedic meditation & embodied dance breakthroughs
• The neuroscience & nervous system side of fear - why your brain literally thinks it’s unsafe to be seen
• Why your healing doesn’t mean the fear never comes back (and how to meet it when it does)
• How I went from faking sick to avoid speeches to now speaking on podcasts, teaching at events with 80+ women & building an online community
