What Was He Thinking?

Sure the nearby Mt. Pelee volcano is rumbling, smoldering and soon to spew 500-degree lava high into the air. Sure snakes, goats and red ants are scurrying down the mountain to seek cover. And sure the residents of St. Pierre, Martinique, at the foot of the ominous peak, are scared to holy hell of the approaching inferno.

But election day is tomorrow. And the governor of St. Pierre needs every vote he can get. So to prevent voters from evacuating, he selfishly shuts off all escape routes from the city. Bad idea.
