Welcome to the Daily Quote – a podcast designed to kickstart your day in a positive way. I'm Andrew McGivern for November 30th.Today is National Mousse Day. Light. Airy. Gone in seconds.
Mouse originated in France and was made by whipping eggs and cream together into a light airy foam. We associate it with desert but originally it was also made as a savory dish. That is interesting but I think the delicious sweet version is what we are talking about today. And that brings us to today's quote from Nicolette M. Dumke who once wrote:

"Dessert is one of the simple pleasures of life which have sustained people during difficult times."Mousse proves this. It's unnecessary. Frivolous. Purely for joy. That's exactly why it matters. When life is heavy, mousse is light. When everything is complicated, dessert is simple. So today, find something light. Literally make mousse. Or just choose lightness figuratively. Not every moment needs weight. Some deserve to be airy.Dumke understood. Simple pleasures sustain us.That's going to do it for today. I'm Andrew McGivern signing off for now but I'll be back tomorrow. Same Pod time, same Pod Station - with another Daily Quote.
