Fact: The average doctor has approximately TWO hours of training in sleep science. So it's up to us to seek outside expertise to find our own answers.

Enter, Mollie Eastman! A fellow sleep geek and source of inspiration for yours truly, she is the creator of Sleep Is A Skill, and the host of The Sleep Is A Skill Podcast, an approach that optimizes people’s sleep through a unique blend of technology, accountability, and behavioral change. With a background in behavioral change from The Nonverbal Group, she became fascinated with chronobiology and its practical application to sleep and our overall experience of life.

Mollie discusses:

  • How CBT has become the first line of treatment for insomnia
  • You can go from “good to great” and “great to exceptional”
  • Brighter days and darker nights as a key principle to improving sleep (sound familiar, dear listener?)
  • The range of tests that exist to determine various disorders
  • Trackers aren’t for everyone- hear about what might work (or not!) for you
  • The concept of thought timing: we are a different brain at noon than midnight
