Shivam is a Lead Associate & Qualified Actuary at WTW in London.

Shivam previously worked in Kenya, in both Pensions and General Insurance, before relocating to the UK very recently. In this episode we discuss his entry into the actuarial profession, studying at University in the UK, securing his first actuarial job in Kenya during the pandemic, his rapid progression at an early stage of his career, his experience of trying a General Insurance role, and then his return to pensions as well as relocating to London.

I particularly loved hearing about how he has found the transition to working in London so far, and the similarities and differences between being a pensions actuary in both countries.

A fantastic episode for anyone considering relocating to the UK in the future, and a great insight into Shivam’s actuarial journey to date.

I hope you enjoy the conversation!
