Today, I want to share an example of how chemistry influences brain function. I was working with a young adult doing neurofeedback brain training. He was making incredible progress learning self-awareness and proper breathing techniques. But suddenly, his reassessment showed concerning results.

I realized two critical factors: he wasn't eating breakfast before our morning sessions, and he was using nicotine pouches. When the brain goes 12+ hours without fuel and is flooded with stimulants, it can't function properly. Once we addressed these issues, his real progress became clear.
