Dr. Josh Belfer speaks with Dr. Malinda McPherson, a postdoctoral associate in the MIT Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences and member of this year's Forbes 30 Under 30 list. Dr. McPherson studies pitch perception and the interpretation of sound, and has set out to answer the question of whether we interpret sound and combination of notes in the same way as other cultures.
