How many conversations do you need to have with a person to make them turn their life around? Just one. When you’re in an environment, whether you created it alone or just found yourself struggling to get out of, that gets you down to your lowest point, it leaves you with nothing to lose. Today we are joined by someone who, from using drugs and alcohol, hustled his way up and is now not only successful and financially free, but also helps other people that he finds in similar situations as he was before. He shares how it only takes one important phone call to change someone’s life and he shares how he does it. He’s the type of guy that asks people what are the positive things if they put in all the effort they could in constructing their lives, and then he asks for the negatives, next think they know is they have another person in town working their way up towards financial freedom. More about this theme and the advocacy of pulling people out of their dark places in this episode of Wealth Science, with guest Austin Linney!

Constructing your life

Austin is definitely the guy to go to if you’re looking for someone who’s had his fair share of troubles that he managed to overcome and is now working towards helping other people get back up and make them realize how if they’ve got nothing to lose, then they got so much to win. Austin believes that if you don’t position yourself, you will be positioned. This motto that he made for himself is now something that allows him to open other people’s minds to taking control of their lives. Divorce, drug addiction, alcoholism, amongst other things are merely details of an environment that makes up a part of one’s life and it will, and as Austin believes and holds true so, it will only ever last so long as you don’t try to change it.

Austin shares that he doesn’t like being asked what time he wakes up in the morning, he prefers to be asked what drives him to even get out of bed. Bringing positivity towards another person’s life is basically what saves Austin when he finds himself in a dark place. He shares how he believes in a ripple effect as well, that when your environment provides you with positive energy, you will take that energy in at some point and help rewire your subconscious mind, making you change the way you see yourself. Austin shares about the books he’s read about changing your mindset in order to be the most effective you can be.
