On today’s show, we’re ready to go, with 4 weeks of NFL action to confirm or contradict what we thought we knew coming into the season. Fortuitous we did so, cuz otherwise we likely would have had some chicken-little takes on the Lions, but instead, we have a nice sample size to work with as we observe and evaluate everything we see on Sundays…and Mondays, and Thursdays, and sometimes Fridays or Saturdays, and soon to be Wednesdays. And we’ll get to that, but first…
- MLB Playoffs started yesterday with 4 games and a must watch starting pitcher on the mound in Tarik Skubel pitching an absolute gem to open it all up in the early game, and from there, it’s been baseball all day.
- Then, some NBA news, and more importantly, Warrior news, trickling in as the season approaches and just 3 weeks away, That said, we’re saving our NBA Previews for a few more weeks.
- Finally, with NFL Week 4 in the books we get down to business evaluating what we’ve seen, as we start from the top, culling pretenders from the 3-1 and 4-0 teams and recognizing the true contenders, before…
- another of my “which NFL player (or players) are moving up the all time rankings this season” trivia game, this week, looking at 2 WRs who are currently pacing towards breaking into a top 10 all time either this season or next…,
- sharing some of our favorite players to watch do their thing on the field this year (Garrett Wilson, JK Dobbins, Cam Skattaboo, among others)…,
- and more!
So sit back, it’s MLB Playoff time, NFL Week 5 is on deck, the NBA season is 3 weeks away and we’re breaking down how it’s all unfolding, next on the Roundup Podcast so let’s get rolling . . .
> If you’re wondering what the intro/outro music on the show is, we lead off every episode with an amazing song by Calexico called Close Behind, and for the closing music, the same song we’ve used every single episode so far, a beautiful rendition of the standard I Wish You Love, performed by a group called Friends of Dean Martinez, and special thanks to Joe Burns for letting us use his music here. So as always, a shoutout to the music we love, Calexico, Friends of Dean Martinez, check it out…
