Jupiter’s retrograde station on October 9 at 21’20” Gemini--through to its station direct on February 4 at 11’16” Gemini--undoubtedly had a hand in souring the vision of what many wanted to happen during that period..
As Erin Sullivan explains in her book “Retrograde Planets, Traversing the Inner Landscape: “Jupiter retrograde can provoke depression—a consequence of unrequited needs; the period can spiral one into a pit of mourning and loss, requiring one to draw on deep reserves of faith in oneself.”
Ya think? Especially since the November 2024 U.S. presidential election? Well, the good news is that it will soon be full speed ahead with Jupiter direct again. After all, Jupiter represents the ability to strategizing in order to successfully achieve a big picture goal. You know, like power to the people rather than to dictator wannabes.
We note also the January 29 aviation disaster over Ronald Reagan airport in Washington, D.C. on the eve of Uranus’s station direct January 30. As horrifying as is this midair collision—with no known survivors—Uranus has certainly made his influence known on both a literal & symbolic level.
Uranus is, after all, like tarot card The Tower, which symbolizes sudden change…Do we NEED a revolution here in the U.S.? If so, with Pluto in Aquarius now until 2043, we have a long time during which to prepare for such an event as we ask ourselves “who’s REALLY got the power—& how are they going to use it?” And to begin to shift our mindset back toward one that revolves around an era of “power to people”--again…
