Genocide in plain sight—yet somehow invisible. Christians and Druze in Syria face systematic slaughter while the global media chooses to look away. Churches burn. Pastors and their families are tortured and executed. Children watch their parents suffer unspeakable violence. And yet, this humanitarian crisis remains conspicuously absent from headlines.
Why does the world selectively apply terms like "genocide" to certain conflicts while ignoring others? Through powerful eyewitness testimonies, we uncover the disturbing reality of religious persecution in Syria and expose the deliberate media blackout surrounding these atrocities. You'll hear firsthand accounts of jihadists attempting to crucify Christians "to make them look like Jesus" and threatening to abduct children—only to be thwarted by timely Israeli intervention.
The narrative surrounding Israel's involvement in Syria has been thoroughly distorted. While painted as an aggressor, Israel has actually been instrumental in protecting vulnerable Druze and Christian communities from complete annihilation. Yet political pressure has forced them to reduce their protective measures, leaving religious minorities exposed once again. The silence of world leaders is deafening.
As followers of Christ, we're called to respond with more than righteous indignation. Intercessory prayer becomes our powerful weapon when confronting darkness of this magnitude. Drawing strength from David's words in Psalm 18, we remember that God "reaches down from on high" and "trains our hands for battle" even when powerful enemies surround us. When media powers consciously suppress truth, our commitment to seeking and speaking it becomes an act of spiritual warfare.
Join me next time as we explore the origins of the image of the beast from its beginning to its present-day manifestation. Keep looking up. The King is coming.
