10/2/25: Aligning with Autumn's Rhythm
Manage episode 510130563 series 3658749
In this cozy fall episode, I'm inviting you into my kitchen to explore how Traditional Chinese Medicine can guide us through the seasonal transition from summer to fall.
As the leaves begin to fall and the air grows cooler, I want to share with you how we can support our bodies during this time of letting go. In TCM, fall is the season of the lungs and large intestine - organs connected to release, just like the trees releasing their leaves around us.
I'll be sharing three nourishing recipes that will warm your heart and support your immune system:
Warm Pears with Ginger - A healing treat that brings moisture and calm to dry coughs and scratchy throats, simmered with apple juice, cinnamon, and honey
Roasted Root Vegetables with Tahini Drizzle - Whatever vegetables call to your heart - carrots, sweet potatoes, beets - roasted with olive oil, garlic, and rosemary, then finished with a creamy tahini and lemon drizzle
Barley and Mushroom Nourishing Stew - A comforting bowl that strengthens digestion and supports your immune system with earthy mushrooms and hearty barley
Join me as we slow down, savor the season, and align with nature's rhythms. I'll also share why I find such peace in chopping vegetables at the end of the day - it's my gentle invitation for you to bring mindful moments into your own kitchen.
This is your moment of self-care, your time to nourish both body and soul as we embrace the cozy comfort of fall together.
